Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"A new cafe from the looks, the cafe is clean and organized. The location is very strategic just beside the famous jetty to Perhentian Island. Perhaps people can come and drink here before waiting for their departure. There are lots of tables available but the parking can be tough in this area. The drinks here are good, sweet and the price is fair for the type. The worker is also very nice and the service is good too. Waiting time is not long. Suitable to bring families and friends."
"The breakfast was absolutely delicious! The first bite let us forgot to take any pictures of our food The staff was very friendly as well. If you visit the island and want to enjoy breakfast, this is the best restaurant. It's conveniently located just across from the jetty."
"Family-friendly café with great local food and a unique twist Kedai Kopi Bucu is a practical spot for families—spacious and casual. The food is tasty and kid-friendly. It’s not fancy, but the portions are generous and prices are very fair. Great for a casual family meal while waiting for the ferry."
"Corner restaurant walking distance from the jetty Can have breakfast here before your boat ride Limited choices on menu But they have a racked with choices of prepacked rice meals - nasi lemak/ nasi dagang which is cheaper Ordered waffles and half boiled eggs Waffles were quite dry Coffeee was okay Very crowded and difficult to get seats here Cleanliness can be improved"
"Breakfast here. Vibe santai².. service - good The food - is okay. They also provide "nasi bungkus" for those who don’t prefer Western food."
"A Wonderful Breakfast Experience I had the pleasure of enjoying a truly delightful breakfast this morning. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The selection was generous, with a perfect balance of sweet and savory options. The pastries were warm and flaky, the fruit was fresh and perfectly ripe, and the coffee was rich and aromatic — just the way it should be. The staff was kind, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. The setting was calm and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. A perfect start to the day — highly recommended!"
"Nice little breezy corner spot near the Port area where you catch the Ferries out to the Islands. Decent cup of Coffee (had a Lattee). Friendly staff. Light bites available for breakfast as well as some hot dishes available as well. Nice place to stop and fuel up ahead of the 45 minute sail out to the Islands."
"Kedai Kopi Bucu – A Breakfast Worth Waking Up For Tucked on a quiet corner, Kedai Kopi Bucu surprised me in the best way. The cheese omelette was fluffy with just the right amount of salt and a buttery finish, simple, but done right. Their big breakfast hit the spot: eggs, sausage, toast, and hash browns that were actually crispy, not sad and soggy. Nasi lemak came with fragrant rice, rich sambal, and crunchy anchovies, classic combo, satisfying bite. The pulut manis was the star for me: soft, slightly chewy, with a delicate sweetness that lingers just enough. The place is clean, the vibes are chill, and food comes out quick. No fuss, no fancy plating, just solid, honest flavours that speak for themselves..."
